Edith Eames 13.10.1865-15.04.1910

Edith was the daughter of Henry Hugh Eames and Elizabeth Ann Parsons


Edith came to England from California to be a nurse at St Bartholemew's Hospital against her parents' wishes. 
She was in training 1886-1889.
She excelled , coming first in her 1st and final year exams.

Left in 1893. 

Ruth Wilson (1860-1950 ) was a Sister at St Bartholemew's Hospital, and although senior to Edith, became a great friend. As Edith had no home in England, she came to stay with the Wilsons. Here she met Walter (Walter Noel Wilson 25.12.1858-22.7.1924 ). She had been offered a nursing job in Cairo, but he begged her to marry him and live in Rugby.
They were married 31.12.1896. at All Saint's Church, Kenley. He was 38 and she was 31. 
She died of cholera in 1910
