Walter Noel Wilson 25.12.1858. -22.7.1924.
Walter was the son of Joseph William Wilson (1829-1898) and Harriet Ann Moore (1830-1913)
He married Edith, daughter of Professor Henry Hugh Eames.
A family gathering for Harriet Ann, "The Mother" was held at his house-10, Hillmorton Road, Rugby.

He retired to 4, Norham Gardens, Oxford.
He devoted his retirement to building the Memorial Chapel at Rugby School to commemorate the 682 Old Rugbeians that died in the war.
It is said that his nickname at Rugby was "Spitter".

He was buried in Rugby Cemetary in a grave adjoining Edith.
There is a memorial in Rugby.
